This summer, on Friday the 12th of August, I will host a Pop-Up Italian Restaurant at the Chat n’ Chew, Newbridge. It’s something I’ve been thinking about doing for a while and with the first two weeks of August off work, I can give it my full and undivided attention. The menu will consist of some of my favourites from Italy and I’m really excited to cook and serve these dishes on the night. An Antipasto Platter will contain moreish bites from several Italian regions as well as some of the best produce Ireland has to offer. The first course is a delicious Pugliese Pasta and Tomato Bake with lightly salted tomatoes and a Parmesan and Pecorino crust that truly brings the dish to life. Buglione, the second course, is a Tuscan lamb stew that will be served with rosemary roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. For dessert, I’ve gone with an Italian classic – Tiramisu, made with the traditional Italian ingredients of mascarpone, biscuit, Disaronno and Espresso.
This is a BYOB event. Soft drinks and water will be available to buy along, with tea or coffee after your meal. Italian cuisine is my culinary love and I’m looking forward to sharing my food with you all. This will be a great night, so please get your tickets early as places are limited!
Tickets will be on sale from the Chat n’ Chew, Newbridge from Friday the 15th of July or alternatively you can email: firstname.lastname@example.org for details about booking online.
